Makes 9-10
Ingredients
113 gr unsalted butter, room temp
75 gr light brown sugar
30 gr sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
Pinch of salt
125 gr ap flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
100 gr semi-sweet or dark chocolate bar, roughly chopped
Flakey sea salt, optional
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, melt butter and continue to cook until brown particles start to appear at the bottom of the pan. Remove from the heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk brown butter, brown sugar, and sugar, with a spatula or a hand mixer until fully combined. Add egg and vanilla, and whisk to combine. Sift salt, flour, and baking soda. Mix to combine. Add chocolate chunks, and fold them into the cookie dough with a spatula. Cover the bowl with cling film, and leave it to chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
3. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Prepare baking sheets with parchment paper. Using an ice cream scoop, divide the dough into 9-10 cookie dough balls. Optionally, top with sea salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Leave them to cool. Enjoy!
