The season of red, green, and white is here. And I used all of these colors on my Baked Vanilla Donuts. We all know that they are not really donuts, but they are delish and makes way less mess.
Makes 6 and 12 mini
Ingredients
For the donuts
160 gr flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Pinch of salt
70 gr sugar
1 large egg
160 ml milk
30 gr unsalted butter, melted
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 tsp peppermint extract
For frosting
300 gr powdered sugar
30 ml milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract or paste

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Apply thin layer of oil to a donut pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine.
3. In another bowl, whisk sugar, and egg for 2 minutes. Add milk, melted butter, vanilla, and peppermint extract. Mix wet ingredients with dry until fully combines. Pour the mixture into the donut pan, to 3/4 way up. Bake for 10-11 minutes. Leave them to cool for 10 minutes.
4. For the frosting, in a shallow dish, whish powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Dip the donuts in frosting and decorate with sprinkles. Enjoy!
